Sterling Chase Delegate Wins Best Woman in Field Sales Award

Sterling Chase would like to send a big ‘congratulations’ to Kate Derrick for winning the Best Woman in Field Sales 2014 at the Women in Sales Awards event last week.

Kate won the award in recognition of her outstanding sales accomplishments over the last year, in which she smashed her targets and outperformed in her role as Gas Sales Development Manager in npower’s Industrial & Commercial (I&C) unit.

This is the second year running that a Sterling Chase coaching alumni has received one of the top awards at the Women in Sales event. Last year another one of our npower Sales Academy alumni, Sarah Middleton, won Best Woman Sales Manager of the Year 2013.

Sterling Chase Managing Director, Steve Eungblut, attended the event and commented, “I am absolutely thrilled for Kate and the whole team at npower I&C Sales. The progress they have made over the last two years is now being recognised by external peers. The fact that this is the second year running in which one of our alumni has won an award here is a real testament to not only the tools and techniques embedded through our sales development programmes, but also the hard work and dedication that npower’s people have put into bringing the Sales Academy to life.”

Kate was also thrilled at winning the award. In a post-award interview she stated, “I am completely and utterly chuffed to bits that I have won! Being a winner tonight is hopefully going to give me the recognition, credibility and endorsement of my talent not just within npower and the energy industry but in the national sales industry too.”

The Women in Sales Awards is an annual event held in London to celebrate the fantastic achievements of women in sales, an industry with a reputation for still being heavily male-dominated. The event was created to bring greater awareness of the need for gender diversity in sales and leadership teams, as well as helping to grow the pipeline of sales talent.
