Sterling Chase Delegate Wins Best Woman Sales Manager of the Year

Huge congratulations to one of our recent delegates, Sarah Middleton, on winning the Best Woman Sales Manager award at the Women in Sales Awards event in December 2013.

Sarah won the award in recognition of her outstanding performance as an I&C Markets Sales Manager with RWE npower.

In 2012, her team exceeded its sales target by 19 percent, delivering more than £3 million in margin to the business – the highest performance of any B2B team within npower.

In 2013, she became the first Sales Manager in the entire energy industry to win a long-term deal with a major high-street restaurant brand to supply electricity and energy management services for 20 years. This win represented the biggest deal that npower has ever signed, worth in excess of £800 million in revenue.

Last year, Sterling Chase partnered with npower to launch the npower Sales Academy. As part of the Sales Academy, Sarah was assessed and coached by Sterling Chase to adopt the award-winning Selling from the Left® methodology across her team.

Steve Eungblut, Managing Director of Sterling Chase, commented, “Sarah is championing a collaborative approach with really challenging consultants. She is using a structured planning process and coaching her people in the execution of structured relationship development plans. Sarah is earning respect from all involved with the Sales Academy because of the way she is embracing and leading change.”

We would like to congratulate Sarah on this award and wish her (and her team) all of the best for the future. It was a pleasure working with Sarah and we get the feeling that this is the first of many great things to come!
